Cassandra Jones broke the school record for 3-pointers made in a game when the freshman connected on 11 of 23 from beyond the arc.
She helped Solano cruise to an 87-29 victory over Los Medanos in the Bay Valley Conference opener on Tuesday. Cassandra finished with 33 points, just four shy of tying the school record for points in a game.
LaNia Adams scored 12 points and added eight rebounds for Solano, which jumped out to a 23-8 lead after the first quarter and only allowed 21 points the rest of the way. Kyara Reed grabbed 10 boards to go with seven points.
Cassandra broke the school record of seven 3s previously held by some of the greatest 3-point shooters in the history of the program – Marisa von Bromssen, Michelle Lewis and Denisha Lundy. Cassandra tied the record twice during the Solano Showdown in December.
“It was fun to watch,” said Coach Matt Borchert.
