Thirteen of Solano’s 14 players scored as the Falcons jumped out to another big lead early and cruised to a 94-37 win over Yuba College on Friday night.
Solano (18-4, 9-0 BVC) led 14-0 thanks to outstanding defense that caused Yuba to turn the ball over. The Falcons converted those into easy baskets and eventually took a 59-15 lead into halftime.
Denisha Lundy led a balanced scoring attack with 13 points. The sophomore guard added five assists, three rebounds and three steals while shooting 50 percent from the field. Taylor Hamilton added 10 points, 6 assists, 2 rebounds and 2 steals while also shooting 50 percent from the field.
Justice Robinson and Christen Voyles made immediate impacts coming off the bench for the Falcons. Both freshmen scored 10 points with Robinson adding 4 rebounds and 2 steals. Kai Roberts scored a season high 8 points.
Solano had 23 steals in the game with Ariel Clay recording six of her own. Kristina Kountouris led the way with eight rebounds.
The Falcons, ranked No. 17 in the state and No. 8 in Northern California according to the CCCWBCA coaches, have won 10 straight games. The team looks to keep the momentum going against Laney on Wednesday in Oakland before hosting Napa Valley on Friday.
