Lucy Santos scored the game-tying basket with seconds left in regulation and went on to score 10 more points in the two overtime periods to lift the Solano women’s basketball team to an 80-70 win over Napa Valley on Tuesday.
Santos, who played sparingly in the game prior to entering in the final minutes of regulation, came up with some big jump shots and rebounds in the extra periods.
Taylor Hamilton recorded her first career triple double with 23 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists. The freshman point guard played all 50 minutes of the contest. Ariel Clay also had a big night with 16 points, 14 rebounds, three assists and two steals.
Solano outscored Napa 16-6 in the second overtime to seal the victory.
Solano plays host to league-leading Mendocino College on Thursday before traveling to Pittsburg on Saturday to take on Los Medanos.
