Bree Domingo shakes hands with Cal State Maritime coach Dave Covell after signing her letter-of-intent on Tuesday afternoon.

Bree Domingo, Solano’s point guard for the past two seasons, signed a letter-of-intent to attend California State University Maritime in Vallejo to play basketball and pursue a degree in business.

Surrounded by her teammates, family, friends, Solano coaches and support staff, Bree signed the letter in the presence of Cal State Maritime coaches at Solano’s gym on Tuesday afternoon.

“I really like the way the coaches discipline the players,” said Bree when asked why she chose the academy. “It reminds me a lot of Solano. And the players reminded me a lot of Solano as well.”

Bree is fourth all-time for assists in a career and was an all-Bay Valley Conference selection as a freshman.

“Bree was an outstanding leader for us the past two years,” said Coach Matt Borchert. “Cal State Maritime was very diligent in recruiting our players and I am very glad that Bree is going to continue to play and work on her degree there.”

Bree is the first of this year’s sophomore class to sign a scholarship. Look for more updates on this year’s sophomores soon!
