Veronica Morris scored 18 points and got plenty of help from her teammates in leading the Solano women’s basketball team to a 71-45 win over Yuba College on Wednesday night.
Veronica added seven rebounds, an assist, four steals and two blocked shots as the Falcons again used a late first half run to break open the game against the 49ers.
Solano (14-4, 6-0) has now won 12 straight games this season and recorded its 20th consecutive Bay Valley Conference victories dating back to last season.
“We didn’t shoot the ball at the beginning of the game as well as have been but once we got into a rhythm defensively, the offense came around,” said Coach Matt Borchert.
Ashley Daniels added 13 points and five rebounds for Solano, which got 11 points and five assists from Bree Domingo. Soroya Blunt had an outstanding all-around game, adding nine points, eight rebounds, three assists and four steals.
Solano has a bye on Friday before taking on College of Marin in Kentfield on Jan. 20. The Falcons’ next home game is on Jan. 22 against Los Medanos College.
